Are You Having a Baby?

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR PROVIDERS AND TOUR THE OFFICE

Meet and Greet is a great way for prospective parents and new patients to ask questions, see how we work, and meet our providers and staff. We want to help you make the best decision for your family.

How Does My Child Become a Patient?

Our goal is to provide the best medical care. To do this successfully, we must be able to review all of your medical records from all providers that you have seen. It is our policy to receive your previous medical records before we can assume regular care and schedule an appointment. For acute illnesses of new patients before we receive medical records, we will usually schedule an appointment provided that we can obtain all medical information necessary to address the acute illness.

FOR NEWBORNS

If you are interested in bringing your newborn to Carroll Pediatrics, give us a call. Our staff can answer many of your questions over the phone, but you can also schedule a time to come to our office for a tour and a meeting with one of our providers. Meet and Greet is a great way for prospective parents and new patients to ask questions, see how we work, and meet  our providers and staff. We want to help you make the best decision for your family. Depending on your newborn's hospital course, your first visit to the office is within 1-3 days of discharge.

FOR NEW FAMILIES TRANSFERRING

Please notify us as soon as you decide that you want Carroll Pediatrics to provide care to your children. If you would like to stop by and briefly meet us, please call and request a convenient time. It is our policy to receive your children's previous medical records before we can assume regular care of your children and schedule regular appointments; however, for acute illnesses of new patients before we receive medical records, we will usually schedule an appointment provided that we can obtain all medical information necessary to address the acute illness.

After Transferring Paperwork

Once the records are received, we will review them to determine if they are complete or sufficient for us to begin caring for your children. Unfortunately, unless there is an acute illness that requires immediate attention, we cannot treat or provide routine or regular care for your children until we have necessary records.

Please be aware that under federal (HIPAA) and state laws, your previous medical provider may charge a "reasonable, cost-based fee" to copy your children's medical records. This cost is your responsibility. This fee may be waived if records are sent directly to our office. If you have not already done so, please sign a release of records form and provide it to your children's previous medical provider.
