Rebecca Theise, our pediatric nurse practitioner, joined Carroll Pediatric Center in 2021. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Community Health at Brown University in 2010. After working as a refugee health care coordinator in New Haven, CT, she earned an RN and Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University’s pediatric nurse practitioner program. Rebecca became board certified as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CRNP, CPNP-PC) in 2015, and since then has worked at pediatric private practices in Connecticut and Maryland. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, biking, reading fiction, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and two sons.
“Part of what drew me to pediatrics is the focus on the whole child — their family, their school, their home environment, their hobbies, even their pets! We know that if we can understand where they’re coming from, and if we can truly partner with their families, then we can help them achieve optimal health for years to come. As a new mom myself, I can empathize with parents on a whole new level and better support them on their childrearing journeys.”
Rebecca loves working with children of all ages — whether it’s helping new parents gain confidence with their newborns, making check-ups fun for toddlers, talking about nutrition with middle schoolers, or helping teenagers feel empowered about their health. “It is an honor to be a part of their growing-up.”
